Stace Nelson releases editorial regarding Veterans Day

November 11, 2013

The Stace Nelson campaign sent out this editorial today for Veterans Day. Yesterday I noted Stace served in the Marines and exemplifies the motto’s Semper Fidelis and Ductos Exemplo. As a fellow veteran I proudly support Stace Nelson in his Senate campaign and find his Veterans Day editorial to be relevant and worth reading.

SVNUSMC6329bb840ad6For 238 years, American fighting men & women have answered the call to duty, for this country, and the people we love.  At the point of a gun, and true dedicated American patriotism, “we” liberated America from the tyranny of King George III of England, freed our fellow man from slavery, helped free Europe (twice!), stopped Communism in its tracks throughout the world, and put a chokehold on terrorism that has allowed the world to catch a breath from decades of that evil.

About 1/2 of 1% of all Americans earned and have protected the freedoms we enjoy this Veterans Day.  Most Americans will never know that special flavor of freedom earned from having left everything held dearest behind and venturing forth far away into uncertainty to place oneself between the evil threats of this world, and that which we all hold so dear.  “We few, we happy few..” did so not for fame or glory, but an undying love for all that beautiful star spangled banner represents: our beloved fellow Americans, this country, and the precious freedoms bequeathed us.

Our country should be basking in great success and prosperity.  Yet, the former crown jewel of our success, Detroit City, lies in ruins, and our nation shudders not from the shivers of the trumpet call of freedom, but from a funeral dirge powered by a federal government that is out of control, oppressive, and dysfunctional.  The writings of our Founding Fathers reverberate with cautionary prose of current events; they are like a loud klaxon with harsh warnings of these dangers from within.  Sadly, the battlements for our freedom in Congress have long been bereft of the patriots cut from the same cloth as our Founding Fathers. Patriots who dared conceive our nation by boldly signing our Declaration of Independence, knowing it was their death warrant. Congress now is overrun by summer soldiers and sunshine patriot career politicians who flock to “public service,” never to serve in hardship or danger, but ever to the protracted ease of a public office they see as an invitation to enrich themselves, at the expense of our children’s futures.

Our triumphs over tyranny have been for naught, if we allow the current state of such affairs in our country to go uncorrected.  President Ronald Reagan beseeches from the past “Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction.. it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once..” Protect the freedoms so hard won by being involved in our electoral process. Repel and cast out these politicians who betray our interests and whose actions are inimical to our founding and future as a nation.  It is only through such action by “We the (American) people,” that our liberties, and country, will survive and flourish once again. God bless, and Semper Fidelis..

Stace Nelson, Decorated USMC Veteran, retired NCIS agent, District 19 Representative, current candidate for the United States Senate.

Absolutely right and beautifully articulated, Stace! Of all the administrations I’ve lived through, this IS by far the worst, as those in power are stomping all over the Constitution and cackling at Americans who believe in it, while systematically working to unpin our very foundations as a steadfast nation–militarily, economically and socially. If we are to correct the problem through voting, then first the voting process needs to be better protected from fraud. Illegals and cemetery “residents” should not be wormed into the polls to skew the outcome in favor of any candidate–and voting machines MUST be protected from the rigging that took place in the last two elections. Those who took part in this scheme must be revealed and punished.
Our Veterans, including you and those in your family, have given so much to preserve what earlier generations also fought to protect. I hope and pray enough can be done to save America from going into this sinkhole created by those who resent every good thing America stands for–this appears to be our last chance. God bless you, and God bless America.
