SD Secretary of State approves US Senate candidate Stace Nelson’s petitions

February 19, 2014

Yesterday I noted US Senate candidate Stace Nelson was the first to turn in the required signatures. Today the SD Secretary of State announced via twitter that his petitions have been approved:

This officially makes Stace Nelson the first South Dakota candidate in the US Senate race. None of the other candidates have filed their petitions yet. It is also worth noting that the Nelson campaign still has several hundred signatures coming in. The ability to get these signatures at this point and continue to get signatures shows the true grassroots support Stace Nelson has on his side.

If they get more than one candidate in the election , it will ensure that Rounds wins. It can only help the democrat who doesn’t have a chance either. Next page.
